A native Santa Barbarian, Earl Armstrong is the founder and current president and board chair of Armstrong Associates, Inc., a general contracting company specializing in commercial, health care, and custom residential construction. Previously, Earl founded Armstrong Marble, Inc., a stone fabrication company specializing in marble and granite for high-end residential homes. He is also the chairman of the board of Cary Products, Inc., a plastic injection molding manufacturing company located in Dallas, Texas.
Earl is very engaged in the Santa Barbara community, and currently serves as the board president of the SBCC Foundation. He is also on the board of Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital Foundation, serving as chairman of the board from 2002-2005, in addition to returning as chair in 2015 for the grand opening of the new Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital. He is a past board member and chair of the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce; a past board chair of Hillside House; a past board member and vice chair of Santa Barbara Unity Shoppe; and a past board member of the Montecito Retirement Association.
In 2011, Earl was named Man of the Year by the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce.
