Fundraising Priorities (2007-2010)
Scholarships
Scholarships remain among the most important ways for the Foundation for SBCC and its donors to encourage student success. Scholarships relieve financial burden, offer inspiration and validate the importance of education. Last year, over 800 students received $850,000 of support for books, tuition, supplies and other expenses. Through these gifts, donors are helping students pursue their dreams of a college education.

Center for Sustainability
The Center for Sustainability at SBCC supports the practice and understanding of sustainability on campus and in the community. The SBCC campus serves as a living laboratory to decrease our environmental impact, develop resilience to economic challenges, and better train students for a rapidly changing world. The Center also serves as a resource and partner to teach and support locally appropriate strategies to create a sustainable community.
The Center for Sustainability seeks funding to develop interdisciplinary degree, certificate and skill competency programs, courses, seminars and project-based internships/work experiences in the following four areas (1) Green Building; (2) Green Business; (3) Sustainable Food Systems; and (4) Green Living.
