Whether providing directly to students or for college programs, the SBCC Foundation gives more than $4 million annually to Santa Barbara City College’s most critical needs in order to support SBCC students as they prepare for careers, transfer to four-year universities, and pursue lifelong learning goals.

Thanks to its generous donors, the foundation was able to provide direct student support in the form of scholarships; book grants; and child care for single parent students.

The foundation was also able to provide programmatic support for a variety of campus programs including CARE (Coordinated Agencies Resources for Education), a program serving single parent students; SPARC (Single Parents Arriving Ready for College), a six-week summer bridge program for single parent students; and EOPS (Extended Opportunities Programs and Services), serving financially disadvantaged and academically underprepared students, to name a few.

Gifts made to the SBCC Foundation contribute to the success of SBCC students, providing financial support and student opportunity.
