SBCC Promise student Alisa Lemere says that Santa Barbara City College and the support she’s received through the SBCC Promise has “turned out to be the best way for my life to work out. I’m a Communications major considering human resources as a career path, and my communications theory class made me grow the most as a student and a person.” She adds that her professors are dedicated and challenge her on a daily basis, and her fellow students are engaging and excited about learning.
“I’m totally in love with Santa Barbara City College and wish I didn’t have to leave, but it’s time to move on. So I’m applying to four-year programs and UC Berkeley is my top choice. I am glad so many local students are benefiting from the Promise and getting a chance to take advantage of all the great opportunities right here at SBCC.”
