Allie Rigonati is a proud alumna of Santa Barbara City College and a Carpinteria local. As the Scholarship and Program Manager, Allie works closely with college partners to bolster student success and strengthen academic programs through the effective and equitable distribution of scholarship and program funds held at the SBCC Foundation. In addition to these duties, Allie manages the President’s Circle and helps coordinate small group events and stewardship activities. She is a Guided Pathways First Year Guide and a member of the Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties Chapter of AFP.
Education has been a through-line of Allie’s professional career and she is passionate about working to strengthen her community. She got her start in nonprofit work at the Music Academy of the West, working for the organization’s Department of Institutional Advancement. Before her entrée into the nonprofit world, Allie worked in a writing-intensive role creating content for the educational reference publisher ABC-CLIO and their suite of online social science databases.
Allie attended Santa Barbara City College and eventually transferred to UC Berkeley, where she received her BA in comparative literature. She fondly remembers the support and encouragement she received as a student at SBCC and is committed to helping provide similar opportunities to current and future SBCC students.
