Opportunity starts with education.
An SBCC education strengthens families, builds community, increases earning potential, and supports extraordinary achievement. In short, it changes lives.
For more than 40 years, donors have been working with the SBCC Foundation to bridge the gap between what public funds provide and what is needed to build a truly great college – from the library to the stadium to the theatre to the classroom.
When you invest in the SBCC Foundation, you ensure that our region’s future teachers, entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, engineers, nurses, chefs, and other professionals have the tools they need to achieve their goals.
Here are some ways to get involved:
» Join the President’s Circle
President’s Circle members provide the core support that make the Foundation’s work possible. We invite you to join this group of our most dedicated and generous supporters with an annual gift of $1,000 or more. As a member of the President’s Circle, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with SBCC leadership, faculty, and students, as well as other President’s Circle members through events and campus activities. » Support the SBCC Promise
Launched by the SBCC Foundation in 2016, the SBCC Promise provides local high school graduates with the opportunity to attend SBCC full-time free of charge, for up to two years. By removing financial barriers, the SBCC Promise is making our community’s college fully accessible to any local student who is willing to make the necessary commitment. The Promise is funded entirely by private donations. Over 5,000 students have already benefited from the program. Your support makes it possible! » Establish a Scholarship
The SBCC Foundation offers a variety of scholarships that lift financial burden from students’ shoulders, thereby improving their personal and academic outcomes.
» Plan Your Legacy
The Foundation’s Legacy Circle honors those who have made provisions in their estate plans to support Santa Barbara City College. With generosity and foresight, Legacy Circle members ensure that future generations of students have access to an outstanding higher education.

» Attend the Spring Forward! Gala
Attendees at the Spring Forward! Gala come together in celebrating SBCC and supporting student success. The annual gala is held on campus at the Sports Pavilion, which is transformed into an elegant venue by Merryl Brown Events. In 2019, the inaugural Spring Forward! raised over $425,000 for the work of the SBCC Foundation.
